WebCAM Scores a Killer Keynote: The hot ticket in Oregon just got incendiary.
Wieden + Kennedy’s Nike Global AD and Interactive CD confirmed as closing keynotes at Bend WebCAM 2012 in Bend, Oregon.
As if the roster of speakers coming to Bend WebCAM 2012 wasn’t hot enough, the mind-blowing two-day Web + Creative and Marketing Conference in downtown Bend just added a pair of geniuses who are charged with keeping Nike the hottest brand on the planet. Karrelle Dixon, Global Account Director and Dan Hon, Global Interactive Creative Director at Wieden + Kennedy in Portland are teaming up to deliver the closing keynote on Thursday, October 25 at the Tower Theatre.
“We’re extremely excited to have these two amazing gentlemen take time out of their busy schedules to talk to us about creative storytelling in a digital age,” said Bend WebCAM Co-Chair Cam Davis. “It’s a rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes of the incredible work done for a global brand that resonates deeply with people in Bend.”
A graduate of Oxford University in England, Dixon got his start on the Nike account at W+K London and jumped at the chance to bring his passion for “sport” to the Portland office in 2010.
A rehabilitated lawyer, Hon enjoys working at the intersection of storytelling, games, play and code. His projects have won Best of Show, Best Experimental and Best Game at SXSW Interactive.
The two of them will take the stage just after another highly flammable session. The ever-popular Hot Seat Website Review is back this year with a bigger panel of experts, all eager to critique a handful of websites submitted by WebCAM attendees.
